GEPLEADER Provides Full-Cycle Power Support for Saudi Arabia's 1,800MW Rumah CCGT Power Plant

GEPLEADER, a leading Chinese manufacturer of intelligent power generation equipment, has successfully completed power support services for the Rumah 1,800MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant Project in Saudi Arabia. As a key energy infrastructure initiative under Saudi Vision 2030, the project relies on GEPLEADER's high-performance generator sets to ensure a stable and reliable power supply for construction activities.
Located in Riyadh Province, approximately 80 kilometers east of Riyadh, the Rumah plant adopts gas-fired combined cycle technology with natural gas as the primary fuel, diesel as backup, and an air cooling system. The site lies deep in the desert, where summer temperatures often exceed 50°C and sandstorms are frequent. The demanding environment, combined with intensive equipment operation and fluctuating power loads, posed severe challenges to power continuity and stability.
To address these challenges, GEPLEADER customized a power solution featuring multiple GEP-E series silent generator sets. These units were flexibly configured to adapt to load variations across different construction stages, delivering efficient, energy-saving, and low-noise power supply.
This power support mission marks GEPLEADER's successful completion of a large-scale, long-duration project in the extreme environment of the Middle East, generating valuable field data and experience.
