Participating in the construction of the world's largest! Saudi Arabia's 2.6GW photovoltaic project
The 2.6 MW Al Shubaikh photovoltaic power plant project in Al Shubaikh, Jeddah, Makkah Province, Saudi Arabia, is jointly constructed by China Energy Engineering International Group, Guangdong Power Plant, and Northwest Institute.

The project uses the world's most advanced N-type double-sided photovoltaic modules and single-axis automatic tracking brackets, and is the largest single photovoltaic power plant under construction in the Middle East and North Africa region.

GEPLEADER Participated in| Saudi Arabia's 2.6GW Photovoltaic Project

In early January, GEPLEADER generator sets were successfully delivered to the Al Shubaikh photovoltaic power plant consortium project in Saudi Arabia. This time, dozens of (300KW-800KW) E-series silent generator sets were delivered to provide power for the entire project.

Equipment Hoisting Site

The Al Shubaikh 2.6GW photovoltaic power plant project in Saudi Arabia includes two sub-projects, ASB1 and ASB2. The site is approximately 8.5 km from the sea in a straight line, adjacent to Highway 55, and covers an area of 52.54 km2. The area is hot and humid for most of the year, and the sea breeze severely erodes the equipment, so special care must be taken when selecting equipment.

The E-series silent generator set adopts an integrated design. The casing uses high-quality steel and surface spraying treatment, which is corrosion-resistant, scratch-resistant, and rust-proof. It can meet the corrosion protection requirements of C4, C5-I, and C5-M grades according to different usage environments. The surface treatment process of the unit has passed the 1500-hour salt spray test, making it perfectly suitable for the climatic conditions of Jeddah, Makkah Province, Saudi Arabia.

In response to the problem of wind and sand, the design team balanced the different needs of ventilation and waterproof and dustproof. Before leaving the factory, the equipment underwent repeated rain tests and dustproof tests to ensure that it reached the IP54 protection level.

GEPLEADER Service Inspection

Recently, the GEPLEADER service team has conducted several service inspections of the project. Engine system hardware checks, operating system function and performance checks, identifying hidden dangers, eliminating risks, and ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the equipment.

Wu Shouchang, GEPLEADER's overseas service manager, said: "In daily inspections, we need to be meticulous and cannot be careless. Whether it is equipment under daily maintenance or equipment that is not frequently used, careful inspection and understanding of the dynamics of the generator set are necessary to eliminate hidden dangers in a timely manner."

It is understood that the Al Shubaikh 2.6 MW photovoltaic power plant project, as an important part of Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" new energy plan, will maximize the use of localized components, provide 3,000 jobs for the local area, reduce carbon emissions by about 3.12 million tons annually, and accelerate the transformation of Saudi Arabia's energy structure and green and low-carbon development.
