During the 2022 Qatar World Cup, the crucial electrical support for hotels and stadiums may have originated from Zhengzhou, showcasing the global footprint of Chinese manufacturing. The event, which commenced on November 21, 2022, not only offered a long-awaited spectacle for soccer fans but also highlighted the prowess of Chinese enterprises on the world stage.
Notably, the iconic Lusail Stadium, often referred to as the "Golden Bowl" and a centerpiece of the tournament, was constructed by the China Railway Construction International Group. Additionally, the popular "La'eeb" mascot figures, which captured the audience's imagination, were primarily sourced from Yiwu.
A significant contributor from Zhengzhou was GEPLEADER, tasked with providing essential power solutions for the World Cup. In a massive logistical and technical endeavor, 153 sets of electrical equipment were meticulously assembled in Zhengzhou and transported to Qatar. This collaboration included partnerships with Guangxi Yuchai Machinery and Delisi Electric, highlighting a concerted effort to ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout the event.
