GEPLEADER recently provided power support for the Saudi Rumah 1,800MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant Project. By deploying high-performance generator sets, it delivered a stable and reliable power supply for this large-scale infrastructure project, effectively supporting on-site construction.

The Rumah project is located in Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia, approximately 80 kilometers east of Riyadh. It has an installed capacity of 1,800 MW and adopts gas-fired combined cycle technology, with natural gas as the primary fuel, diesel as backup, and an air cooling system. The project is a key initiative under Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to optimize the power mix and enhance grid peaking capacity.

The project site is situated in the desert, with summer temperatures often exceeding 50°C and frequent sandstorms, imposing extremely high requirements on equipment operation and power supply reliability. Construction equipment operates intensively with fluctuating loads, posing severe challenges to power continuity and stability.

GEPLEADER customized a power solution for the Rumah project, featuring multiple GEP-E series silent generator sets flexibly configured to adapt to load variations across different construction stages.

This power support service enabled GEPLEADER to complete a large-scale, long-duration power supply mission in the extreme environment of the Middle East, while also providing a reusable data model for energy efficiency optimization of similar projects in the future. GEPLEADER will continue to serve the global energy transition with cutting-edge technology and hands-on experience.
